Price Violates Marketplace Pricing Rules

What this means

Your price is higher than other retailers or significantly above the same item sold elsewhere. Walmart unpublished or hid the listing under its competitive pricing rules.

Why this happens

Walmart enforces two pricing rules. The Price Parity Rule unpublishes items priced higher on Walmart than on any other site. The Price Leadership Rule hides items priced unreasonably above the prevailing market price. Both rules monitor competitor prices in near real-time, including Amazon, Target, and the seller's own DTC site.

How to fix it

  1. Identify the competitor reference price in the Pricing dashboard
  2. Lower your Walmart price to match or beat that price
  3. Audit your DTC site to ensure parity
  4. Use Repricer rules to keep prices competitive automatically
  5. Resubmit price; listing typically republishes within 24 hours
