Item links don't match verified domain

What this means

Your product links point to a domain that isn't claimed and verified on your Pinterest business account. Error 139 fails the entire data source until ownership is verified.

Why this happens

Pinterest requires merchants to claim and verify every domain whose URLs appear in the catalog. Common triggers: links pointing to a country subdomain (uk.example.com) when only example.com is verified, links going through an affiliate domain, or staging-environment URLs accidentally exported instead of production.

How to fix it

  1. Open Pinterest Business Hub > Claim website and verify the domain you want links to use.
  2. If you sell on multiple subdomains or country domains, claim each one separately.
  3. Strip affiliate redirect domains from the link field and let Pinterest's tag handle attribution.
  4. Confirm staging URLs are excluded from the production feed export.
  5. Re-ingest after verification completes - usually 5-15 minutes.
