warning Reason Code 92 / 93 / 362 / 363 - Unsupported claim

Unsupported Claim in Ad or Website

What this means

Your product copy or landing page makes a claim (e.g., "world's best", "FDA approved", "100% natural") that isn't substantiated by visible evidence on the destination page.

Why this happens

Superlatives without proof, health/efficacy claims for supplements, "#1 rated" without sourcing, or guarantees not backed by terms on the page. Microsoft requires claims to be either toned down or supported with verifiable third-party citations on the landing page.

How to fix it

  1. Remove superlative claims ("best", "#1", "guaranteed") from titles and descriptions
  2. Add citation or evidence on landing page for any retained claims
  3. Replace absolute claims with comparative wording ("top-rated by Wirecutter 2024")
  4. Avoid medical efficacy claims without certification
