Medical device or implied medical use

What this means

Listing devices that imply medical use without proper certification triggers disapproval. Includes thermometers, BP monitors, posture correctors, and similar.

Why this happens

Even low-stakes devices (back braces, posture correctors) can trip this when copy makes medical claims.

How to fix it

  1. Remove 'medical-grade', 'doctor-recommended', or specific condition claims.
  2. Reframe as 'wellness' or 'comfort' products without medical efficacy promises.
  3. For genuinely regulated devices, get healthcare advertiser certification.
  4. FDA-cleared products may need extra documentation submitted to Meta.
