warning image quality too low

Image quality too low

What this means

Meta detected that your product image is below its quality threshold — usually too small, too blurry, or too low-contrast. The product can still appear in some surfaces but won't be eligible for high-visibility placements.

Why this happens

Meta requires images at least 500×500 pixels for the catalog, with higher resolutions (1024×1024+) recommended for Shop placements and Instagram Shopping. Below threshold = quality demotion.

How to fix it

  1. Source higher-resolution images — minimum 500×500 to avoid disapproval, 1024×1024+ to qualify for premium placements.
  2. If you have access to original RAW or PSD product photography, re-export at higher resolution.
  3. Avoid up-scaling small images — Meta's classifier detects bicubic blur and treats it as low-quality.
  4. For each product, provide multiple angles via additional_image_link — improves catalog quality scores.
