Description contains URLs or links

Description text includes URLs, which Meta does not allow inside the description field.

Meta Commerce Manager validates descriptions against length limits, prohibited HTML, and content policies. Active scripts, external resources, off-platform redirects, or excessive promotional copy trigger this.

1. Strip JavaScript, iframes, and active content. Most channels accept basic HTML formatting only.
2. Trim to channel-specific limits (most: 5,000 chars for full descriptions).
3. Remove off-channel checkout links — descriptions can't redirect away from the platform.
4. Replace promotional 'Buy now!' style copy with descriptive product information.
5. Re-submit and verify in the next processing cycle.
