warning title length exceeds maximum

Title exceeds 150-character maximum

What this means

Google truncates titles past 150 characters in Shopping listings. The product can still appear, but key information after the truncation point is invisible to shoppers.

Why this happens

Marketing teams often write Amazon-style long titles full of keyword stuffing. Google ranks short, precise titles higher and shows them in full.

How to fix it

  1. Keep titles under 150 chars — ideally 70–90 for full visibility on mobile and desktop.
  2. Lead with brand + product name + the 1–2 most relevant attributes (size, color).
  3. Move secondary attributes (material, pattern) to dedicated structured fields, not the title.
