How to fix: Incorrect tax information

Tax was incorrectly included in the price for US targets, or tax settings are misconfigured.

US merchants must declare tax in feeds or Merchant Center settings, and tax rates must match what's actually charged at checkout. Mismatches or missing tax data cause this.

1. Set up account-level tax settings in Merchant Center → Tools → Tax (US only).
2. If you charge tax based on destination state, configure each state with the appropriate rate.
3. Make sure your storefront's tax calculator uses the same rates as Merchant Center.
4. Tax-exempt products (groceries in some states, etc.) need explicit tax_category attributes.
