Error 17765 — Store description is too long

Store description is too long.

eBay places limits on description length, HTML usage (active content blocked since 2017), and external resource loading. Descriptions that include JavaScript, embedded forms, or links to non-eBay payment systems fail validation.

1. Strip JavaScript, iframes, and active content from the HTML description — eBay blocks these for security.
2. Inline images via the eBay Picture Hosting service or use https-hosted images. Mixed-content (http) images fail.
3. Remove links to off-eBay checkouts or payment systems — eBay requires payments stay on platform.
4. Use eBay's recommended description templates from Seller Hub if you're unsure.

• JavaScript widgets that worked pre-2017 are blocked — descriptions render but interactive elements don't fire
• External CSS files — eBay strips them, breaking complex layouts
