Listing a recalled product

Amazon cross-references CPSC and FDA recall databases. Listings matching recalled products are removed and account-level penalties applied.

Old inventory of products since recalled — often baby products, kitchen appliances, electronics with battery recalls.

1. Cross-check inventory against current CPSC, FDA, and equivalent agency recall lists.
2. Remove recalled SKUs from feed and from FBA warehouses (request removal orders).
3. Set up a quarterly recall-check process to catch new recalls.
4. If accidentally listed, file a Plan of Action with Amazon promptly.
