Error 5995 — Brand Registry policy violation

What this means

The brand owner (via Brand Registry) has flagged your listing as violating their brand standards — incorrect product details, wrong images, MAP violations, or unauthorized variations.

Why this happens

Brand Registry gives brand owners tools to enforce their catalog standards. They can flag and have removed any listing that doesn't comply, even from authorized resellers.

How to fix it

  1. Check your Account Health Performance Notifications — the specific complaint will be detailed there.
  2. Update the listing to match the brand owner's required content (often title format, image set, or pricing).
  3. If you're an authorized reseller, contact the brand owner directly to resolve — they can withdraw the complaint.
  4. If you believe the complaint is invalid (e.g., MAP enforcement violating your jurisdiction), submit a counter-notice through Account Health.
