Error 5463 — Brand inconsistent across listing data

What this means

Different fields in your feed reference different brand values — for example, the brand attribute says 'Acme' but the product title says 'Acme Pro' or 'AcmeBrand'. Amazon flags this inconsistency.

Why this happens

Listing data ingestion checks brand mention across title, brand attribute, manufacturer, and bullet points. Slight variations (capitalization, spacing, sub-brand) trigger consistency warnings.

How to fix it

  1. Standardize the brand string across every field. Use the exact value from the brand attribute everywhere it appears.
  2. If you have a sub-brand (e.g., 'Acme Pro' is a line under 'Acme'), use the parent brand in the brand attribute and keep the sub-brand in the title only.
  3. Watch for trailing spaces, hidden characters from copy-paste, or smart-quote differences.
