Error 5011 — Brand restricted, requires approval to list

The brand you're trying to list is gated — Amazon only allows approved sellers to list under it. You must apply for and receive ungating approval before submitting product data.

Many premium brands (Nike, Apple, Disney, etc.) are gated to control counterfeits. Some entire categories (Beauty, Toys) are gated regardless of brand.

1. Apply for ungating: Seller Central → Inventory → Add a Product → search for the ASIN → 'Apply to Sell' button.
2. Submit invoices from an authorized distributor (not retail receipts) showing at least 10 units purchased in the last 6 months.
3. Some brands have additional requirements: trademark proof, brand owner letter of authorization, etc.
4. Approval typically takes 1–3 business days; some brands take longer or are closed to new sellers entirely.

• Trying to list before approval — repeated attempts can flag your account
