Error 18137 — Listing has been auto-matched to an existing ASIN

What this means

Amazon's matching algorithm linked your submission to an existing ASIN. This is informational — your listing is live under that ASIN; you can verify or dispute the match.

Why this happens

When you submit a product without an ASIN, Amazon attempts to match by GTIN, title, brand, and other attributes. A successful match attaches your offer to the existing detail page.

How to fix it

  1. Verify the matched ASIN is correct — open it in Amazon and confirm it's the same product.
  2. If correct, no action needed. Your listing is live.
  3. If incorrectly matched, file a Catalog Dispute or use Seller Central → Manage Inventory → Edit → Suggested ASIN to specify the correct one.
  4. For brand owners: review your matches periodically; mismatches dilute your catalog quality.
