Error 13016 — Image requirements not met

What this means

Amazon rejected your product image. Common causes: too small, contains text/watermark, has accessories not included, lifestyle backdrop instead of pure white, or shows unauthorized branding.

Why this happens

Amazon's image requirements are stricter than most channels: pure white background (RGB 255/255/255), product fills 85%+ of frame, no text or watermarks, no models for non-apparel, minimum 1000×1000 for zoom function.

How to fix it

  1. Re-shoot or re-edit images on a pure white background. Photoshop's magic wand or background-removal services help.
  2. Remove all watermarks, logos, and price callouts from images.
  3. Ensure the product fills at least 85% of the frame — empty space hurts conversion and gets flagged.
  4. Hit at least 1000×1000 pixels to qualify for Amazon's zoom feature; smaller images won't even show a magnifier.
  5. Don't include accessories (cables, batteries, etc.) in the main image unless they ship in the box.
