Error 13009 — Image contains text, logos, or watermarks

What this means

Amazon detected promotional text, retailer logos, watermarks, banners, or stickers overlaid on the image. None of these are allowed on Amazon product images.

Why this happens

Amazon wants product images that look like the product, not marketing collateral. 'SALE!', '50% OFF', store logos, copyright stamps, and call-out badges all trigger this code.

How to fix it

  1. Remove ALL overlay text, including pricing badges, retailer logos, 'Best Seller' callouts, and promotional banners.
  2. Watermarks added by photographers must be cleaned — Amazon doesn't recognize photographer copyright as a valid exception.
  3. Brand logos that are actually printed/embossed ON the product are fine — only added overlays are rejected.
  4. Use the 'A+ Content' module to add marketing copy and badges — that's the appropriate place for promo content.
