Company overview

BestWheelsOnline.com has sold tires and wheels online since 2001. The catalog runs past 24,000 SKUs in a fitment-heavy category, where a single wrong attribute puts the wrong tire on the wrong vehicle — and the company sells it on Walmart Marketplace, one of the most data-strict channels in US ecommerce.

Story snapshot

A 24,000-SKU tire and wheel retailer took its Walmart Marketplace catalog from error-prone to the #2 US seller position in its category — 200% Walmart sales growth and 50% overall ecommerce growth across one campaign year.

Walmart Marketplace catalog optimization

The problem

A 24,000-SKU catalog against Walmart's data standards

Walmart Marketplace rejects product data that doesn't match its specification, and a tire catalog is unusually easy to get wrong. Fitment attributes, load and speed ratings, and inventory counts all have to line up per SKU. Across 24,000+ SKUs, small inconsistencies compound into listings that won't publish or won't convert.

We were getting new rejections faster than we could solve them.

Inventory discrepancies between the store and the channel added a second failure mode — products showing available that weren't, and the reverse. Every mismatch was a listing working against itself.

The solution

Logic and static values, mapped to Walmart's spec

GoDataFeed worked the catalog against Walmart's data standards field by field — applying rules and static values to clear the errors blocking listings, and adding attributes that improved how products surfaced in Walmart search. Feed-level problems got fixed in the feed; issues that needed Walmart's side were escalated as support cases GoDataFeed managed directly.

A tire listing built to Walmart's spec — fitment, ratings and inventory aligned per SKU.

The work ran collaboratively. Inventory discrepancies were investigated alongside the retailer's marketing team, and troubleshooting happened hands-on over Zoom instead of getting passed back as tickets. The campaign ran February 2024 to February 2025.

The impact

#2 US seller of tires & wheels on Walmart

Over the campaign year, Walmart sales grew 200% and overall ecommerce grew 50%, with month-over-month momentum that held through the period. The catalog reached the #2 US seller position for tires and wheels on Walmart Marketplace.

sales growth on Walmart Marketplace

The gains traced to catalog integrity, not added ad spend — listings that met the spec, surfaced correctly, and stayed in sync with real inventory.

Looking forward

Built to hold the position

With the catalog meeting Walmart's spec and inventory synced against the store, the listings that earned the #2 position stay on the same automated footing that built them — new SKUs entering the feed under the same rules, without a manual pass each time.
