Is there a cost for technical support?
There is no additional cost for technical support using GoDataFeed. If you require installation assistance, we will walk you through the setup of each engine and make sure you feed your products properly.

I’ve subscribed to GoDataFeed—how do I start getting my products listed on search engines?
  1. Subscribe to the Shopping Engine of your choice, and obtain the data feed upload specifications from each Shopping Engine, including:
    • FTP location to upload the data feed file to (i.e. ftp://uploads.google.com)
    • Username and Password to the FTP location
    • The upload file name (i.e. myfeed.txt)

    * You will need this information to consolidate and automate your data feed submissions on GoDataFeed- (in step 4).

  2. Automatically import your product data from one of our supported shopping cart platforms, AmeriCommerce, ShopSite, Volusion, Yahoo! Store -OR- Prepare a product list source file (Excel,CSV,Tab) that contains as many fields as possible and send it to us for approval. Most common required fields are URL, Image URL, Name, Description, Price, Category (the merchant’s category for mapping), Manufacturer, Manufacturer Part Number, Brand, Keywords, etc.
  3. Setup your Shopping Engine feeds on GoDataFeed, including FTP settings, Field/Category Mapping, and Scheduling of feed frequency

What if I submit to a Comparison Shopping Engine that is not listed on your site?
If there is a Shopping Engine you would like to submit to that is not in our list, you can request to add it at a one-time charge starting at $100. Simply contact us mentioning the names of the engines you would like to feed.

Is there a limit on the number of shopping engines I can submit to?
There is no limit with the Self Managed plan. The Starter plan limits you to three feeds

Which Comparison Shopping Sites should I submit my product data feeds to?
Criteria to consider when selecting a Shopping Engine are:
  • Categorization- Do they provide categorization that best classifies what I am selling?
  • Budget- What is the Cost-Per-Click for the categories I intend on mapping to? Do they have setup fees?
